Brass Castle is an independent Malton-based Yorkshire brewery and Britain’s best brewer of vegan and gluten-free craft beers. We mash grains, boil hop charges, pitch yeast, rack into casks, seam cans, serve great beer and do an awful lot of cleaning – right in the centre of Yorkshire’s Food Capital. Brass Castle Brewery’s house yeast does its work in five fermenters and the staff clean up after it. The overall result is an ever-changing range of beers and beer styles that garner awards in all quarters, while finding their way around the UK and beyond.

Brass Castle Brewery is an award winning brewery that is well known for it's character and one of the key producers of sought after gluten free beer.

Established back in 2011 they've moved a few times and had their own mini tour of Yorkshire gathering a significant following and rightly so.

We've all heard of some famous garage stories from Apple to Disney and Brass Castle Brewery is no exception except I'm sure I can guess who had the best parties! Starting life in the said garage in Pocklington on Brass Castle Hill itself back in 2011, before moving to Garrowby Estate brewhouse within just six months! They'd actually won Champion Beer at the York CAMRA Beer Festival within only two months of producing in the garage.

Roll forwards two and half years from the garage and they are at their current home in the heart of Malton Town Centre including the popular on site tap house. If you can, it's well worth paying them a visit.

Our own personal connection with Brass Castle came from a post Manchester Beer Festival pint with Kev, the Operations Manager. We then met again at Siba BeerX and few months later we are now delighted to be able to supply you with some of their amazing beer and significantly certified gluten free which is something we have been asked for.
