We are delighted that we have been able to support some amazing causes and charities so far and we are working on some exciting projects for the future.
I've decided to write this now, not just so we can talk about it but so we can help raise awareness and you can find out more about the charities and link to them so have awareness of events and details of their progress.
Local schools include raffles etc
We've supported a few raffles with prizes and vouchers helping raise money for equipment and repairs etc. We're delighted to discuss other initiatives we can work with so please get in touch and tell us about your cause.
Tryanuary
Back in January we provided some prizes for Tryanuary in support of the nominated charity. In 2018 the Tryanuary team raised £3,676.90 for East Anglia's Children's Hospices (having set a target of £2,000). Tryanuary quote a huge thank you to everyone who donated.
We were only just into our second month then and were really grateful for Tom Stapely's feedback and comments during the raffle draw about us trying to do the right things. As mentioned it was early days for us so we are looking forward to Tryanuary 2019 and thinking about what more we can do to support this great initiative which supports a different charity every year. Look at Tryanuary's website for more details and we'll update in due course.
East Cheshire Hospice
The East Cheshire Hospice is a hospice which is close to us in many ways as we have had family members spend their final days there and appreciated first hand the support they provide for the individual as well as their family and friends.
Previously we've personally done some charity swims/runs for this cause but through Order.Beer we've provided some prizes for events and looking at other areas to support the hospice. It is incredible to hear the work of some of the individuals involved and if we can help even in a small way then we are delighted to assist.
Specifically Christine Masson successfully ran a quiz supper in February which raised an amazing £3400 for the charity, including a matched donation from Barclays.
You can learn more about the East Cheshire Hospice here and they also have a lottery which may be of interest.
Breast Cancer Care
We recently provided some prizes in support of Breast Cancer Care and through an individual tea party, an amazing £1086 was raised for Breast Cancer Care. We are awaiting some more details of this event and hope to add more in due course.

Prevent Breast Cancer
The only UK breast cancer charity funding ground-breaking research solely aimed at preventing the disease for future generations.
We are delighted to be able to support Prevent Breast Cancer as it is not only supporting a cause which has affected friends and family members in many circles but also because we have met the people behind it and understand the great work they are doing.
Raising profile and awareness is crucial and if we can help in anyway to do this then that is fantastic. We have been helping with prizes and promotions and have some more ideas for the future of what we see as a long term partnership. Keep an eye out on their events list.
Summary of the charity as follows:
"Predict. Prevent. Protect.
You could call it our mantra. As the only UK charity entirely dedicated to the prediction and prevention of breast cancer, we’re committed to freeing the world from the disease altogether. Unlike many cancer charities, we’re focused on preventing, rather than curing. Promoting early diagnosis, screening and lifestyle changes, we believe we can stop the problem before it starts. And being situated at the only breast cancer prevention centre in the UK, we’re right at the front-line in the fight against the disease.
Our Purpose
Our purpose is simple: to create a future free from breast cancer, where there is no before or after diagnosis. And thanks to better predictive tools and early intervention, we truly believe that for future generations, breast cancer will be a thing of the past. This means acting now, to help more people live a life that’s free from the disease. It means funding research aimed solely at preventing breast cancer. And it means creating a world where thousands of people are spared from ever experiencing the pain and suffering it causes. Put simply, our purpose is in our name."
